Joshua4 Whitney (David3, Joshua2, John1), son of David3 and Elizabeth (Warren) Whitney,[1] was born 11 Oct 1718, Plainfield, CT,[2] and died 10 Feb 1761, Plainfield, CT.[3]
He married 8 Apr 1742, Amy Blodgett,[4] daughter of William and Sarah (Hall) Blodgett.[5] She was born 16 Feb 1724, Plainfield, CT,[6] and died 24 Dec 1819, Canaan, CT, aged 96 years.[7]
She married secondly, after 14 Nov 1767, Isaac Lawrence,[8] son of Daniel and Sarah (-----) Lawrence,[9] as his second wife. He was born 25 Feb 1704/5, Groton, MA,[10] and died 2 Dec 1793, Canaan, CT.[11] He had married firstly Lydia Hewitt.[12]
She married thirdly, about 1798, George Palmer,[13] son of George and Hannah (Palmer) Palmer,[14] as his second wife. He was born 6 Sep 1719, Stonington, CT,[15] and died 1 Dec 1809, Stillwater, NY.[16] He had married firstly Hannah Marsh.[17]

Josiah Whitney]], b. 11 Aug 1752, Plainfield, CT;[23] nothing further known, although he may be the Josias Whitney appearing in the 1800 Census in Ulster Co., NY, with a wife and four children. vi. Huldah Whitney, b. 20 Jan 1755, Plainfield, CT;[24] m. Elias Palmer. vii. David Whitney, b. 25 Mar 1757, Norfolk, CT;[25] m.(1) ----- -----; m.(2) ----- -----; m.(3) Eliza Wilson. viii. Elizabeth Sarah Whitney, b. 18 Dec 1759, Norfolk, CT;[26] d. 3 Feb 1760, Norfolk, CT.[27]
