John⁷ Whitney (John⁶, Nathan⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of John⁶ and Joanna (Hamilton) Whitney, was born say 1783, and died after 1860.

He married, 29 Nov 1804, Readsboro, VT, Lois Amidon, daughter of Samuel and Ruth (Woods) Amidon.
