Stephen6 Whitney (Alexander5, Eleazer4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Alexander5 and Lois (Carroll) Whitney; born 10 Jun 1792, died 26 Oct 1864.

He married, 22 Feb 1825, Sarah Bailey, born 3 Mar 1801, died Dec 1869.

He was a farmer. They resided Henniker, Claremont, and Newport, NH.

iii. Sarah Jane Whitney, b. 25 Dec 1827; m. 12 Sep 1849, Barnabas C. Whipple of Croydon; resided Sutton, NH. He is a farmer; was b. 1 Jan 1823.
