Hiram Elias7 Whitney (William Perse6, Micah5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of William Perse6 and Sarah (Frank) Whitney, was born 12 Apr 1832, Phillips, ME,[1] and died 9 Jul 1890, IA, aged 58 years 2 months 27 days. He was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Benton Co., IA.[2]
He married, firstly, 24 Aug 1852, Sycamore, IL, Catherine Harshey. She was born 1835, and died 1857, Cortland, IL.
He married, secondly, 29 Dec 1858, Kane Co., IL, Mary E. Dow. She was born 1838, NY.
He married, thirdly, bef. 1876, Mary E. -----. She was born Apr 1837, VT, and died 1925, Western State Mental Hospital, Fort Supply, OK. She was buried in Fort Supply Hospital Cemetery, Fort Supply, OK.[3]
He was a physician; resided in Shellsborough, IA.
