Oscar F.⁸ Whitney (Zerah⁷, James⁶, Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Zerah⁷ and Jane (Demond) Whitney; born 6 Aug 1812; married 29 Nov 1837, Electa A. Bryant, born 12 Apr 1818; died 2 Dec 1886. He died 16 Feb 1849; resided Whitneyville, Michigan.

Children of Oscar F.⁸ and Electa A. (Bryant) Whitney:

i.	George B.9 Whitney, born 12 Nov 1838; married Kate Austin.
ii.	Frank Whitney, born 7 Mar 1840; married Carrie M. Wrightman.
iii.	Oscar W. Whitney, born 29 Jun 1842; resided 85 Stocking St., Grand Rapids, Michigan.
iv.	Emily J. Whitney, born 22 Jan 1844; married 12 Apr 1862, Benjamin R. Ogden; resided Hornellsville, New York. He was born 7 Mar 1837; a carpenter. Ch: Nellie, born 30 Nov 1874.
