Family:Whitney, James Alexander (1866-1938)

James Alexander⁸ Whitney (James⁷, Jonathan⁶, Jonathan⁵, James⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), born 27 Sep 1866; married 27 Feb 1889, Eva Taylor, born 5 Feb 1869.

He is a native of Montgomery County, Iowa, and was born on a farm. Remaining with his parents until attaining his majority he soon engaged in business. At present he is a member of the firm of Whitney Bros., general merchants at Cumberland, Iowa; resided Sciola and Cumberland, Iowa.
