Henry Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1790, probably Bermuda.
He married Amelia Herriott.
Although probably born in Bermuda, he became the harbor master of British Guiana (now Guyana).
Children of Henry and Amelia (Herriott) Whitney:
i. Francis William Whitney, b. ca. 1819, Bermuda. ii. Amelia Christiana Whitney, b. 1826, Bermuda, d. 21 Sep 1910, Devonshire, Bermuda. She m. 6 Nov 1851, Devonshire, Bermuda, Benjamin William Watlington.

"Need information on a Francis William Whitney, who went from British Guiana to Conn. His father Henry Whitney married Amelia Herriott of Bermuda. Henry Whitney became the Harbour Master of British Guiana. His son, Francis William came to America in 1860 with his wife Susan (Nassiah), who was dead soon afterwards.
