Harriet Payne Whitney (William O.), daughter of William O. and Ruth/Ruthy (Payne) Whitney, was born after 1805, probably Franklin Co., GA, and died 16 Nov, 1868, Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN, buriede Willow Mount Cemetery, Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN.[1]

She married, firstly, 26 Feb 1823, Major Philip Johnston Scudder, as his second wife. He was born 15 July 1791, Freehold, Monmouth Co., NJ, the son of Joseph Scudder and Maria Johnston, and died 6 Aug 1830, Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN.[2] The marriage of Philip J. and Harriet (Whitney) Scudder ended in divorce 1825.[3]

She married, secondly, after 1825, Franklin Co., TN, Daniel W. Crenshaw. They were divorced in 1833.[4]

She married, thirdly, 17 Nov 1839, Shelbyville, TN, William H. Wisener.[5] He was born 22 Apr 1812, TN, and died 24 Dec 1882, Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN.[6]

Children of Major Philip and Harriet Payne (Whitney) Scudder:

i. James Lockhart Scudder, b. Mar 1823, Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN, and d. 5 Dec, 1882, Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN.

There are no known children of Daniel and Harriet (Whitney) (Scudder) Crenshaw.

Children of William H. and Harriet Payne (Whitney) (Scudder) (Crenshaw) Wisener:

ii. William H. Wisener, b. aft. 1840, TN, m. Sarah J. B. -----, b. 1841.
iii. Mary F. M. Wisener, b. 1843, TN, m. ----- Hammond.[7]
