Family:Whitney, Phineas (1822-1857)

Phineas⁷ Whitney (Reuben⁶, Phineas⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Reuben⁶ and Lucy (Sawyer) Whitney, was born 8 Sep 1822, Norridgewock, ME, and died after 1850.

He married Melvina Amanda Bean. She was born 1824, Jay, ME. She "Amanda" married secondly, 14 Dec 1861, Jay, ME, Jefferson J. Adams. He died 8 Jan 1864, Barracks General Hospital, New Orleans, LA. Amanda then cohabited with Benjamin Hatch.
