Family:Whitney, Abner (1780-1866)

Abner⁶ Whitney (Abner⁵, Jonas⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Abner⁵ and Esther (Jackson) Whitney, was born 19 Jul 1780, Roxbury, MA, and died 27 Dec 1866.

He married, 20 Jan 1805, Springfield, VT, Polly White. She was born about 1786, and died Mar 1851, Orange, MA, aged 64 years, of fits.^[1]

He was a farmer and resided Orange, MA.

He was a grantee 1824-1845, and a grantor 1825-1846, New Salem, MA.^[2]

v.	Harrison H. Whitney, b. 31 Oct 1819; m. Onda Kendall.
vi.	Emily Whitney, b. -----; m. Thomas Tenney; resided -----.
vii.	Harriett Whitney, b. -----.
viii.	Charles Whitney, b. ca. 1829; d. Mar 1851, Orange, MA, aged 21 years, of shot accident.[3]
