Edwin⁸ Whitney (Nathan⁷, Salmon⁶, Jonas⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Nathan⁷ and Nancy (Farwell) Whitney, born 22 Aug 1826, Harvard, MA,^[1] and died 21 May 1900, Holyoke, MA, aged 73 years, of chronic nephritis.^[2]

He married, 19 Jun 1850, Chicopee, MA, Rhoda M. Wait, daughter of Silas Wait. She was born about 1828, Potsdam, NY,^[3] and died before 1900.

He resided Holyoke, MA.
