Family:Whitney, Jonathan (1783-1876)

Jonathan⁶ Whitney (Jonathan⁵, James⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Jonathan⁵ and Abigail (Hemminway) Whitney; born Windsor, Vermont, 6 Apr 1783; married at Mansfield, Ohio, 1820, Miranda Marvin.

He was born in the Green Mountain State; his descendants say at Windsor. He migrated to Ohio, where he worked on a farm and where he was married. Soon after their marriage they moved to Indiana, about Brown county. He finally moved to Iowa, where he died. He died in 1876; resided Vermont, New London, Ohio, Brown County, Indiana, and Poweshiek County, Iowa.
