Family:Whitney, Samuel (1774-1846)

Samuel⁷ Whitney (Samuel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Samuel⁶ and Phebe (Harrington) Whitney; born Marlboro, Vermont, 18 Apr 1772; married 7 Apr 1792, Susanna Kimball, born Mendon, Massachusetts, 24 Jul 1769; died -----. They joined the Mormons and died in that colony and were buried in Kirtland. He died Feb 1846; resided Marlboro, Vermont, and Kirtland, Ohio.

ii.	Newel Kimball8 Whitney, born 5 Feb 1795; married Elizabeth Ann Smith, Emmeline B. Woodward, and Anna Houston.
i.	Caty Whitney, born 3 Jul 1793.
iii.	Rebecca A. Whitney, born 4 Jul 1797.
iv.	Burdick Whitney, born 18 Jul 1799.
v.	Priscilla Whitney, born 7 Nov 1801.
vi.	Samuel Franklin Whitney, born 17 Mar 1804. He died in Kirtland, Ohio, leaving a son, Samuel F., Jr., who resides at Mentor Plains, Lake County, Ohio, and the latter's dau., Mrs. A. G. Reynolds, resided at Painesville, Ohio.
vii.	Susanna K. Whitney, born Nov 30, 1806.
viii.	Clark Lyman Whitney, born 6 May 1809.
ix.	Phebe K. Whitney, born 26 Jun 1812.
x.	Caroline Whitney, born 10 Mar 1816.
