Caleb7 Whitney (Jonathan6, Caleb5, Jonathan4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Jonathan6 and Lucy (Wheeler) Whitney, was born 28 Dec 1800, Sterling, MA,[1] and died after 1840.

He married, 7 Mar 1824, Sterling, MA, Abigail R. Sargent, "both of Sterling".[2] She was born between about 1801, Princeton, MA, and died 7 Apr 1864, Sterling, MA, aged 63 years, of hemorrhage from lungs.[3]

iv. Leonard M. Whitney, b. ca. 20 Aug 1830, Sterling, MA; d. 12 Jan 1868, Clinton, MA, aged 37 years 4 months 22 days, of consumption;[8] m. 11 Jan 1854, Worcester, MA, Elizabeth A. Monroe, daughter of Oliver and Caroline (-----) Monroe, b. ca. 1835, Boston, MA.[9]
v. Mary C. Whitney, b. ca. 1833, MA; m. 13 Jun 1855, Worcester, MA, James F. Raymond.[10]
vi. John H. Whitney, b. ca. 30 Mar 1838, Sterling, MA; d. 7 Mar 1900, Fitchburg, MA, aged 62 years 11 months 7 days, of valvular disease of heart and chronic bronchitis;[11] m. 25 Feb 1869, Orange, MA, Jennie N. Derby, daughter of Josiah and Betsey (-----) Derby, b. ca. 1849, Ashburnham, MA.[12]
