Rev. William Story7 Whitney (Alexander6, Alexander5, Eleazer4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Alexander6 and Lydia (Foster) Whitney, was born 1 Nov 1822, Henniker or New London, NH, and died 20 Dec 1853, Manchester, NH.

He married, 15 Dec 1849, Wilmot, NH, Mary B. Durgan,[1] daughter of probably Nathan and Matilda B. (Rollins) Durgin. She was born 26 Nov 1826, NH, and died after 1880. She married secondly, between 1860 and 1870, ----- Graves.

He was a licensed Methodist preacher at the time of his death. He resided Manchester, NH.

i. Mary Ellen8 Whitney, b. 3 Aug 1851; d. 30 Apr 1854.
ii. Emma Mirriam Whitney, b. 26 Apr 1853; unmarried; res Manchester, NH, at 282 Granite street.
