George M.⁸ Whitney (Asaph S.⁷, Daniel⁶, James⁵, [prob.] James⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Asaph S.⁷ and Abigail (Miller) Whitney, was born 25 Jan 1830, VT, and died after 1880.

He married, 10 Aug 1866, Springfield, VT, Annette M. Merrill.^[1] She was born about 1850, VT, died Jun 1869, Plymouth, VT, aged 19 years during child birth.^[2]
