Barnabas⁷ Whitney (Paul⁶, Timothy⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Paul⁶ and Lucinda (Marsh) Whitney, was born 27 Aug 1828, Bolton Centre, Brome Co., QC, and died 20 Mar 1865, Bolton Centre, Brome Co., QC.

He married, 1852, Chittenden, VT, Emily Bracey. She was born about 1835, Canada, and died after 1865. She married secondly, 3 Oct 1865, Bolton, QC, Joseph H. Hewes.

He resided Bolton Centre, QC.

i.	Caroline8 Whitney, b. ca. 1853, Chittenden, VT.
ii.	Effie O. Whitney, b. ca. 1853, Chittenden, VT, or Bolton, QC; "Affie" m. 1 Sep 1869, West Boylston, MA (recorded Clinton, MA), George Mahan, b. ca. 1847, West Boylston, MA, son of Samuel and Mary (-----) Mahan.[1]
iii.	Laforrest Whitney, b. ca. 1855, Chittenden, VT; d. 1861, Chittenden, VT.
iv.	Imogene Whitney, b. ca. 1857, Chittenden, VT.
v.	Cyrus Whitney, b. ca. 1859, Chittenden, VT; probably the "Alsain F. Whitney" from the 1861 census.

The family were probably in Quebec, and those censuses have not yet been examined, with one exception.
