Oscar Marion⁹ Whitney (Chester Coborn⁸, Zerah⁷, James⁶, Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Chester Coborn⁸ and Amanda M. (DePuy) Whitney, was born 29 Jun 1848, Ada, MI, and died after 1880.

He married, about 1870, Eliza A. Lillie. She was born about 1853, WI, and died after 1880.

He served in the First Battery of Wisconsin Light Artillery; resided Jackson and Spicer, MN.
