Leonard⁶ Whitney (Joseph⁵, Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Joseph⁵ and Mary (Woods) Whitney, was born 4 Jun 1797, Pepperell, MA, and died 26 Jul 1886, Langdon, NH.

He married, 8 or 31 Aug 1820, Acworth, NH, Philanda Blood,^[1] daughter of Lemuel and Lucy (Hale) Blood. She was born 8 Jan 1805, Lempster, NH, and died 25 Jul 1888.

He was a farmer. He resided Acworth and Langdon, NH.
