Henry Whitney, Gent. (Henry, Henry), son of Henry and Anne (-----) Whitney, was baptized 12 Oct 1566, St. Bartholomew, London.[1]

He married, 21 Jun 1590, St. Botolph Bishopsgate, London, Anne Saunders.[2] License "1590, June 19 Henry Whitney, Jr., Gent. & Anne Sawnders, Spinster, of the City of London, dau. of Nicholas Sawnders, late of Ewell, co. Surrey, Esq., decd.; Gen. Lic."[3] She was daughter of Nicholas and Isabel (Carew) Saunders of Charlewood, Surrey.

He lived in Mitcham, Surrey, England.

Sometime after 1583, John Talbot (c1535-1607?), English Catholic layman, was restricted to the house of Henry Whitney, at Mitcham, Surrey, before being imprisoned in Wisbech Castle in 1588.[4]
