He married 11 July 1585, St. Botolph Bishopsgate, London, Mawdlin Stacey/Stacie, bp. 21 Jan 1564, Saint Botolph Bishopsgate, London.
The family moved to Hanborough, Oxfordshire, England sometime before 1621.
He wrote his will 27 Jul 1624, and it was proven 16 Nov 1624.
Children of Brooke Whitney, order uncertain:
i. Walter Whitney, bp. 29 May 1586, Saint Botolph Bishopsgate, London. According to his father's will, resided for many years at the farm called "Yarkes" in West Hagbourne, England. ii. Sibell Whitney, bp. 23 Aug 1587, Saint Botolph Bishopsgate, London, not listed in any of the family members' wills. iii. Henry Whitney, b. ca. 1588. iv. Brooke Whitney, probably the Brooke Whitney who m. Mary Jonson 1624, Handborough, Oxford, England, 7250013 v. Samuel Whitney, b. say 1598. In his father's will, Samuel is left money "if he returne to inhabitt in london". He was perhaps the Samuel Whitney who was apprenticed to Mark Humble and made free 16 Apr 1619, described as a pointmaker and mentioned as being "In Virginia". Was there a connection to Samuel Whitney of Bermuda? vi. Geoffrey Whitney. "Jeffery" was given £10 in his father's will. vii. Elizabeth Whitney, m. before 1624, William Terrold / Tyrold. William served as executor for his father-in-law's will. Children: William, born 1630. viii. Ruth Whitney, according to her father's will, m. before 1626, ----- Weller. Ruth Whitney, m. Rich WELLER, 1621, Handborough, Oxford, England, 7250013 ix. Joanna Whitney, m. before 1626, ----- Smith.
Note: Jeffrey Whitney (s1635-?) was probably a grandson.
