Family:Whitney, Aaron (1774-1848)
Aaron Whitney, parentage unknown, was born 10 Sep 1774, Lewiston, ME, and died after 1830.
He married, probably about 1797, Betsey -----. She was born 10 Sep 1774 (as recorded), and died 17 Aug 1819.
He married, second, 8 SEP 1822, Guilford, ME, Mary Crockett. She was born 1 Jun 1781, Gorham, ME (or 6 JUN 1782, Sumner, Cumberland, ME, d. FEB 1825 - IGI). She had the following children by her first husband: Hannah Doble, b. 3 Feb 1813, Sumner; Solomon & Bernice Doble [twins], b. 21 Apr 1816, Sumner. Mary (Crockett)(Doble) Whitney died 7 Jan 1826.
Since Aaron's family appears in Thompsonborough together with Jonathan Whitney and Jonathan Whitney, Jr., it seems likely that he was closely related to them. Possibly he may have been a son of Jonathan, Sr., and brother of Jonathan, Jr., but this is just a guess.

She m. 18 Nov 1827 (or 25 Apr 1827?) Mr Manoah Harriman. iv. Annas Spears Whitney, b. 23 Sep 1805, Lisbon, ME. Resided with the family in 1810. He m. 22 Mar 1829, Guilford, ME, Drusilla Wright. She was b. 18 Oct 1810, Strong, ME, daughter of Josiah Wright, born 11 Apr 1778, Lewiston, ME and Mary, born 19 Jun 1783, Bowdoin, ME. Children of Annas & Drusilla: David W. Whitney, b. 26 Apr 1830, Guilford, ME. v. Relief Guildsmith Whitney, b. 7 Sep 1807, Litchfield, ME. Resided with the family in 1810, 1820. Married or died before 1830. vi. Sally Spears Whitney, b. 11 Oct 1809, Industry, ME. Resided with the family in 1810. Married or died before 1820. vii. Thomas Flint Whitney, b. 13 Nov 1813, Industry, ME. Resided with the family in 1820, 1830. He m. Adaline -----. She was b. 8 Feb 1816. Ch: Amelia C. L. Whitney, b. 19 Mar 1841, Guilford. viii. William Hildrith Whitney, b. 7 Oct 1815, Industry, ME. Resided with the family in 1820, 1830. viii. Betsey Whitney "Jr", b. 7 Oct 1818, Guilford, ME, d. 29 Dec 1819.
Children of Aaron and Mary (Crockett)(Doble) Whitney:
ix. Stillman F. Whitney, b. 11 Jun 1823, Guilford. Resided with the family in 1830. He, as "Stillman S.[sic] Whitney", d.25 Jul 1884, Guilford. He m. Ellsbyra Ann S. She was b. 24 Apr 1833, Parkman or Abbot.Children: Aaron Chandler Whitney, b. 13 Nov 1853, Guilford; Stillman L. Whitney, b. 19 Nov 1857, Guilford, d. 15 Sep 1861; Daniel F. Whitney b. 6 Sep 1862, Guilford; Mary P. Whitney, b. 13 Jan 1865, Guilford.
