Here he built a small house, with its door within six feet of a fine spring of water; and in this home, after a life of comfort and contentment, they died (he, 15 Dec. 1852, aged 74 years and one month; she, 28 May 1873, in her 82d year), and were buried in Highlands Cemetery, two miles southwest of their house.
