Arthur Whitney, parentage unknown but probably son of Francis Whitney, was born circa 1800, NC, and died after 1850.

vii.	Stephen Whitney, b. ca. 1832, LA. Was he perhaps the husband and father of Martha M. Whitney, age 36, Routhy, age 3, and Francis, age 3 who resided in Barehouse, Drew Co., AR in 1860?
viii.	Eliza Whitney, b. ca. 1835, LA. She was perhaps the "Lizzy A.", wife of W. R. Barry with whom her brother Silas was residing in 1860 in Barehouse, Drew Co., AR.
ix.	Silas Whitney, b. ca. 1837, LA. In 1860 he was residing with W. R. and Lizzy A. Barry in Barehouse, Drew Co., AR. He was listed as a waggoner. He may have been the same man as the following: WHITNEY, Silas, b. possibly Drew Co., AR, fought in the Civil War, and m. Mary Ann Elizabeth Casan Olvazina JOHNSON. He d. Jan 1897 in Greenville, Hunt Co., TX. They had Caledonia, b. 1875, AR, and James Eliphalet "Fay", b. 1880, TX.
