Thomas Whitney, was born before 1765, and died sometime after 1810 and probably before 1820.

Fayette County, Kentucky Thomas Whitney, early cabinet maker, native of Ireland, advertised a house for sale in 1795. He continued in the cabinet- making business through 1806, when his shop was on Main Street. Book 49, P 345.[1]

From the State Archives, Page 52, among expenditures 1792-1798, was one for Thomas Whitney, 1794, as one of the veneremen.[2]

In 1806, "Thomas Whitney, Cabinet-Maker" was listed on Main Street in Lexington, KY.[3]

The Mary Whitney enumerated in Lexington in 1820 was probably his widow.
