Family:Whitney, Mindrus Hemrod (1824-1882)

Mindrus Hemrod⁸ Whitney (Ethiel⁷, James⁶, Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Ethiel⁷ and Elizabeth (Leonard) Whitney; born Covert, New York, 1 Jan 1824; married 10 Nov 1845, at Cannon, Michigan, Harriett Adeline Watson; born Hartford, Connecticut, 7 Dec 1825. He is a farmer; was first lieutenant, Company I, 14th Michigan Volunteers Infantry; resigned in 1864, after three years' service; resided Nelson, Michigan.

Children of Mindrus Hemrod⁸ and Harriett Adeline (Watson) Whitney:

i.	Mariette9 Whitney, born 1 Aug 1847; married 26 Mar 1866, Benton W. Lewis; resided Sand Lake, Michigan.
ii.	Henry Whitney, born 4 May 1849.
iii.	Clara Whitney, born 15 May 1858.
