Family:Whitney, Newton (1829-a1880)

Newton⁸ Whitney (Nathan⁷, Salmon⁶, Jonas⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Nathan⁷ and Nancy (Farwell) Whitney, was born, 22 Jul 1820, Harvard, MA,^[1] or 2 Jul 1820,^[2] or 26 Jul 1820.

He married firstly, 1848, Hampton Falls, NH, Mary P. White. She was born 2 Jul 1829,^[3] and died 9 Aug 1849, West Sprinfield, MA.^[4]

He married secondly, 1868 Mary L. Hayward. She was born 12 Jul 1845.^[5]

He is a farmer; resided Chicopee, MA, P.O. Box 60.

Children of Newton⁸ and Mary P. (White) Whitney:

i.	Myron B.9 Whitney, b. 11 Apr 1849; m. 4 Sep 1887, Saint Anthony Park, MN, Henrietta H. Gould, b. 8 Oct 1858; res., s.p., at Saint Anthony Park. He is a carpenter and builder.

Children of Newton⁸ and Mary L. (Hayward) Whitney:

ii.	Charles N. Whitney, b. 3 Jan 1869; resided Chicopee.
iii.	George Whitney, b. 10 Apr 1875; resided Chicopee.
