They settled in his father's house, at Chautauqua, and were living there in Ap. 1873. He died at Magnolia, 25 Ap. 1874, and was buried there.
2794 VI. Andrew Jackson Whitney, b. at Magnolia, in Chautauqua, N. Y., 11 Aug. 1832; died unmarried, 21 Feb. 1858, at Magnolia, and was buried there.
2795 VII. Elizabeth Ann Whitney, b. at Magnolia, in Chautauqua, N. Y., 11 Dec. 1834; married at her father's house in Magnolia, 10 Nov. 1861, Stephen Emeigh Taylor, a farmer, son of John F. and Sally Ann (Losee) Taylor, of Half Moon, N. Y., where he was born 30 Oct 1834. They settled in Harmony, N. Y., and dwelt there in Ap. 1874. 8040
2796 VIII. Maria Cook Whitney, b. at Magnolia, in Chautauqua, N. Y., 19 Sept 1836; married there, 4 Oct. 1856, Charles Wesley Flanders, son of Moses and Rhoda (Pratt) Flanders, of Harmony, N. Y.; died at Magnolia, 4 June 1866, and was buried there. He was living at Corry, Penn., in Ap. 1874. 8044
2797 IX. William Hawkins Whitney, b. at Magnolia, in Chautauqua, N. Y., 16 March 1839; a dealer in real estate; married at Ellery, N. Y., 11 Nov. 1866, Helen Mar Copp, dau. of Edward and Jane (Bemus) Copp, of Ellery, formerly of Ellery Centre, where she was born 31 May 1842. They lived in his father's house till 1862; and since that time, in Jamestown, or Mayville, N. Y.--at the latter place, in May 1874. He was then owner and commander of the steamboat "Col. Wm. Phillips," on Chautauqua Lake. 8046
2798 X. Thomas Jefferson Whitney, b. at Magnolia, in Chautauqua, N. Y., 15 Sept 1842; a physician and surgeon; graduated in the Medical Department of the University of Buffalo, N. Y., in the Spring of 1865; married, 21 March 1865, in Harmony, N. Y., by Rev. H. M. Hazeltine, Congregational, to Lida May Barnes, dau. of Orris and Amanda (Burlingham) Barnes, of Harmony, where she was born 29 May 1843. They dwelt in Sherman, N. Y., till 1868; and then moved to Frewsburgh, in Carroll, N. Y., where they were living in Ap. 1874. 8049
