Hackaliah, MA Line, S6379, sol m Abigail Nelson 29 Jun 1786 both were of Milford in Worcester Co MA & Sol lived there when he appl 28 Aug 1832 aged 70, on 12 Sep 1856 a daughter Abigail Whitney aged 52 signed p.o.a. in Worcester Co MA & stated her father d 15 Nov 1848 & that her mother Abigail d 10 Dec 1838, the daughter was a res of Bellingham MA in 1856


Hezekiah, CT Line, Olive, W18406, sol was a son of Enoch Whitney who had moved (yr not given) from Plainfield or Preston CT to Washington in Litchfield Co CT & not many yrs later his son Hezekiah Whitney followed him there, sol m Olive (--) at Plainfield CT in the fall of 1774, sol appl 23 Sep 1818 at Washington CT aged nearly 75 however in 1820 sol gave his age as 73 & stated his wife Olive was aged 68 & they had a daughter Deadama at home aged 27 & she had 1 child with her (not named), sol d 20 Dec 1827 & his wid appl 3 Feb 1837 at Washington CT aged 81, it was stated sol & wid had a large family but the only names given were; Deadama mentioned in 1820, Squire who was b 3 Sep 1778 & was referred to as the 2nd son, Elisha who was living at Washington CT in 1837 & it was stated he was older than his bro Squire & Betsey who was b 4 Nov 1783, it was stated the births of Squire & Betsey Whitney were recorded in the town records of Washington CT & that there were also several other children's births recorded there but they mere not shown in the pension claim, sol's brother Joseph Whitney was of Warren in Litchfield Co CT in 1818


Isaac, MA Line, S28944, sol was b about 1749 at Gorham in Cumberland Co MA (ME) & he lived there when he appl 30 Apr 1818, in 1820 sol had a wife Polly aged 69 & 4 children at home aged 32, 2?, 10 & 11 yrs but their names were too dim to read, sol reapplied 31 Jul 1832 at Gorham ME, see Nat'l Archives Series M804 roll #2567 for copy of the complete claim & hopefully a better microcopy

Jacob, MA Line, Hannah, R11481, sol was b in 1763 at Georgetown MA (ME) & he lived at Lisbon MA (ME) until 1805 then moved to Phillips in Somerset Co MA (ME) where he lived when he appl 18 Feb 1832 in Kennebec Co ME, sol m Hannah Mills (intentions publ 5 May 1787 at Topsham in Lincoln Co MA "ME"), sol d in May 1846, sol's bro Nathan Whitney aged 74 made aff'dt 8 Jul 1846 at Augusta in Kennebec Co ME & stated his bro Jacob Whitney m Hannah Mills at Little River which later became Lisbon ME & he stated they raised a family of children but did not give any names & he stated he (Nathan) was m in 1793, there was no application by wid in Series M805, see Nat'l Archives M804 roll #2567 for a copy of the complete claim


WHITNEY, Jacob, NY Line, Mabel, W20125, sol was b 22 Apr 1751 at Canaan in Litchfield Co CT & he m 1st Mary Yelverton 30 Dec 1773 & she was b in 1754, sol appl 6 Aug 1832 at Benton in Yates Co NY, sol had lived at New Paltz in Ulster Co NY when he enl & he lived there until 1810 then moved to Benton in Ontario Co NY (which was later in Yates Co NY), sol m 2nd to Mabel Smith 22 Apr 1789 & she was b 10 Mar 1762, sol's children's births shown were; Kezia b 10 Apr 1775, Sarah b 20 Oct 1777, Esther b 16 Feb 1780 & Mary b 12 Aug 1782, sol d 22 Sep 1843, wid appl 11 Apr 1844 at Benton MA, wid's sis Hannah Scriver aged 72 made aff'dt 11 Apr 1844 in Yates Co NY, one Kezia Rosecrantz aged 68 made aff'dt at Benton NY in 1844 & stated that Mabel Whitney as her "mother-in-law" however she stated she was present when her father Jacob Whitney m Mabel Smith (she evidently meant that sol's wid was her step-mother)
