Natick was established before 1679, when its boundary with Sherborne was adjusted. Territory was acquired from Needham in 1744. Its boundary with Needham was changed in 1797. Land was gained from Sherborne in 1830. Part was ceded to Framingham in 1822. Its boundary with Wayland was altered in 1850. Two parts were given to Framingham in 1871.
