Abigail Adams (Mary Cady, Johanah3 Whitney, Richard2, John1), daughter of Samuel and Mary (Cady) Adams, was born 12 Nov 1712, Canterbury, CT,[1] and died 21 Aug 1809, Coventry, CT.[2]

She married firstly, between 1739 and 1740, Samuel Adams, son of Joseph and Eunice (Spalding) Adams. He was born 4 Sep 1710, Canterbury, CT, and died 27 Dec 1760.

She married secondly, 13 Jun 1769, Coventry, CT, Richard Hale, son of Samuel and Apphia (Moody) Hale, as his second wife. He was born 28 Feb 1717, Newbury, MA, and died 1 Jun 1802, Coventry, CT. He had married firstly, 21 May 1746, Coventry, CT, Elizabeth Strong. He and Elizabeth Strong were parents of the patriot Nathan Hale.

i. Gideon Adams, b. 2 May 1743.
ii. Eunice Adams, b. 17 Jun 1746.
iii. Nathan Adams, b. 22 Dec 1748.
iv. Abigail Adams, b. 12 Apr 1750.
v. Sarah Adams, b. 1 Nov 1753.
vi. Alice Adams, b. 1 Jul 1756.
vii. Joseph Adams, b. 19 Dec 1758.

Richard and Abigail (Adams) Hale had no children.
