Abel7 Whitney (Reuben6, Abel5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Reuben6 and Mercy (Baker) Whitney, was born 10 or 16 Sep 1811, Litchfield, ME,[1] and died 8 Jul 1892, Gardiner, ME.

He married, 24 Feb 1833, Litchfield, ME,[2] or 14 Mar 1833, Lydia B. Smith, daughter of Asaph and Rebecca (Davis) Smith. She was born 22 Jul 1808.[3]

He was a cooper. They lived in Gloucester, MA, and Gardiner, ME.

Children of Abel7 and Lydia B. (Smith) Whitney, who had no biological children:
