Thomas B. Whitney, parentage unknown, adopted son of Abel7 and Lydia (Smith) Whitney (Reuben6, Abel5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), was born about 1837, MA or ME, was baptized -- --- 1839, Gloucester, MA,[1] and died 9 Nov 1865, Gardiner, ME, aged 29 years.[2]
He married, 18 Feb 1860, Gardiner, ME, Emily W. Crockett,[3] daughter of John and Celestina (Wilson) Whitney. She was born about 1841, Carthage, ME, and died after 1880. She married secondly, 15 Sep 1868, Gardiner, ME, John Smith.[4] He was born about 1829, and died after 1880.
