Abigail⁵ Whitney (Joshua⁴, David³, Joshua², John¹), daughter of Joshua⁴ and Amy (Blodgett) Whitney, was born 10 Jan 1744, Plainfield, CT,^[1] and died 21 Sep 1821, Woodstock, CT.

She married, 2 Jun 1768, Canterbury, CT, Asa Bacon, son of John and Ruth (Sprague) Bacon. He was born 21 Nov 1735, Plainfield, CT, and died 15 Oct 1819.

v.	Mary Bacon, b. 8 Oct 1776; d. 23/27 Jan 1821, New London, CT; m. 2 Feb 1786, Canterbury, CT, William Pitt Cleveland.
vi.	Amy Bacon, b. 13 Oct 1779; d. 24 May 1816, Canterbury, CT; m. 16 Jan 1799, Norwich, CT, Fitch Adams.
vii.	Abigail Bacon, b. 20 Sep 1782; d. 2 Aug 1865; m. 28 Dec 1817, Providence, RI, Walter Paine.
