Abraham5 Whitney (Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Benjamin4 and Mercy (Hinckley) Whitney, was born 1752[1] or 19 Aug 1753, Brunswick, ME,[2] and died 30 Sep 1831, Waterford, ME, aged 79 years; buried at Lisbon Falls, ME.

Marriage intentions were published 7 Apr 1780, Topsham, ME, for him and Apphia Coombs, both "of Little River".[3] He married 6 May 1780, Lisbon, ME (also recorded at Topsham, ME)(also recorded 1 Feb 1780, Brunswick, ME[4])(also recorded as 1 Feb 1780, Cumberland Co.[5])(also recorded 6 May 1780, Lewiston, ME[6]), Apphia Coombs "of Brunswick", daughter of Peter and Thankful (Strout) Coombs. She was born 1760, and died on 26 Oct 1833, Waterford, ME. She was buried 26 Oct 1833, Lisbon Falls, ME.

They lived at Lisbon, ME. He was Revolutionary War pensioner.

Pierce says the following:[7]

He was a farmer; was in the Revolutionary war and received a pension.
