Family:Whitney, Albert Bogue (1844-1916)

Albert Bogue⁸ Whitney (George Huyler⁷, Ira⁶, Hezekiah⁵, Hezekiah⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of George Huyler⁷ and Ursula (Hawkins) Whitney, was born 21 Jan 1844, Swanton, VT, and died 8 Oct 1916, Jamestown, MI.

He married before 1879, Hannah Mary (Arnold) Syers, daughter of Charles Wheeler and Harriet "Hattie" E. (Skeels) Arnold. She was born Oct 1847, NY, and died 1923, Jamestown, NY. She had married firstly, 9 Feb 1864, Ottawa Co., MI, Willard Syers.

He enlisted, 18 Sept 1861, at Middlebury, Vt., in Co. B, 5th Reg., Vt. Vol. Infantry, and served till he lost a leg on the second day of the seven days battle before Richmond, and was captured. He was held a prisoner four weeks. He was living in Jamestown, MI, unmarried, in Sep 1874.
