Alexander5 Whitney (Eleazer4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Eleazer4 and Mary (Grow) Whitney, was born 2 Jul 1751, Westborough, MA,[1] and died 17 Dec 1791, Henniker, NH, in the 41st year of his age.[2] He is buried in the First Burial Yard, Henniker, NH.

Marriage intentions were published 13 Jul 1776, Hopkinton, MA, for him "of Westborough" and Lois Carroll.[3] He married, 1 Aug 1776, Hopkinton, MA, Lois Carroll "of Hopkinton",[4] daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Knowlton) Carril. She was baptized 7 Jul 1751, Hopkinton, MA. She was also known as Lois Carryl.

He lived in 1776 at Henniker, NH.

Pierce says the following:[5]

He served in the Revolutionary war in the Westboro company, commanded by Capt. WHEELOCK.
