Dr. Amos6 Whitney (Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Isaiah5 and Persis (Randall) Whitney, was born 27 Dec 1768, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 28 Feb 1802, Henniker, NH.
Marriage intentions were published 7 Jun 1793, Harvard, MA, for him and Rhoda Cutter "of Rindge".[2] He married, 9 Jun 1793, Rindge, NH, Rhoda Cutter,[3] daughter of Nathan and Hannah (Davis) Cutter. She was born 27 Aug 1770, New Ipswich, NH, and allegedly died 1820. She married secondly, 22 Sep 1805, Henniker, NH, Jasper Temple.[4] She was of Rindge, NH.
They moved to Henniker in 1795, and resided in the southeast part. He was a skillful physician and much respected. He resided Henniker, NH.

i. Horace7 Whitney, b. 18 Sep 1793, Henniker, NH;[5] was soldier in was 1812; d. Concord. ii. Sophronia Whitney, b. 10 Jan 1795; m. 18 Apr 1813, Henniker, NH, Hon. Jacob Gibson;[6] b. 24 Oct 1784. He d. Dec 1869, Greenbush, WI. Children: a. Dr. A. C. Gibson, b. 1823; resided Greenbush. b. Randolph Gibson, b. 1819; d. Manchester. c. John S. Gibson, b. 1830; res. MO. d. Sophalia Gibson, b. m. R. P. Eaton; resided Green Bay, WI. e. Sophronia Gibson, b. m. Randall Hoyt.
iii. Dolly Whitney, b. 14 Jun 1796, Henniker, NH;[7] m. 21 Sep 1814, Henniker, NH, Jonathan Moore,[8] of Hillsboro. iv. Calista Whitney, b. 3 Feb 1798, Henniker, NH;[9] d. 19 May 1828; m. 21 Nov 1815, Henniker, NH, William K. Howe;[10] b. 30 Sep 1791. Was selectman several years in Henniker. He was married three times. 2 ch., Roxana C. (adopted), b. 19 Jun 1820. v. Cynthia Whitney, b. 19 Jan 1800, Henniker, NH;[11] d. 7 Apr 1816.
