Capt. Benjamin6 Whitney (Jonas5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Jonas5 and Sarah (Whittemore) Whitney, was born 28 Apr 1770, Westminster, MA,[1] and died 27 Jun 1852, Marlborough, NH

He married, 19 Jun 1794, Westminster, MA, Nancy Fuller.[2] She was born 14 Feb 1767, Newton, MA, and died 20 Sep 1855.

He was a noted school teacher in his younger days, was prominent in town affairs and captain of the local military company. Was selectman for several years. and was town clerk for several years. Though not a professor of religion he was an upright and moral man, a good citizen and kind neighbor. He resided Marlborough, NH.
