Chauncey B.⁷ Whitney (James⁶, Cornelius⁵, Matthias⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of James⁶ and Betsey (Law) Whitney, was born 1805, Granville, NY, and died 17 Jul 1866, Oswego, NY.

He married firstly, 6 Nov 1827, Sophia Doolittle. She was born 9 Oct 1808, and died 1841.

He married secondly, perhaps before 1844, Mary Ann Norton. She was born about 1818, NY, and died after 1880.

He was a carpenter. He resided Oswego, NY.
