Family:Whitney, Dwight (c1836-a1900)

Dwight⁸ Whitney (Chauncey B.⁷, James⁶, Cornelius⁵, Matthias⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of Chauncey B.⁷ and Sophia (Doolittle) Whitney, was born about 1836 (or 1834 in Pierce), NY, and died after 1900.

He married, say 1855, Emira Leora Webster, daughter of George and Leora A. (Souls) Webster. She was born 1 Apr 1838, Oswego Co., NY, and died 21 Oct 1917, Brooklyn, IA. Emira Leora (Webster) Whitney was divorced from Dwight Whitney. She apparently married secondly, before 1870, Thomas Armfield, born about 1824, England, and died 18 Apr 1874, Burlington, IA. He was buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, IA.^[1] She apparently married thirdly, 14 Dec 1874, Des Moines, IA, Charles Howard Wright, as his second wife. She was buried in Highland Cemetery, Brooklyn, MI.^[2]
