Family:Whitney, David (1761-1838)
David6 Whitney (Samuel5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Samuel5 and Abigail (Cutler) Whitney, was born 14 Aug 1761, and died 17 Sep 1838, Bolton, MA, aged 61 years [sic--should be 67].[1]
He married, 1 Jun 1786, Concord, MA, Betsey Darby, daughter of Joseph and Silence (Hubbard) Darby. She was born 6 Oct 1765, Concord, MA, and died 4 Jan 1843, Bolton, MA, aged 77 years.[2]
David Whitney married his wife in Concord, MA, and soon moved to a farm in Rindge, NH. After a short residence there he purchased a large farm in Bolton, MA, one of the best in town, and ever after resided there. He made his will in 1833, dividing his estate. He resided Rindge, NH, and Bolton, MA.
