David⁸ Whitney (Nathan⁷, David⁶, Samuel⁵, Benjamin⁴, Thomas³, Thomas², John¹), son of Nathan⁷ and Eliza (Stevens) Whitney, was born 10 Feb 1833, Bolton, MA, and died after 1900.

He married, 6 Dec 1860, Worcester, MA, Harriett Louisa Howland daughter of Henry J. and Ellen Maria (Dow) Howland.^[1] She was born 6 Nov 1833, Lancaster or Leominster, MA, and died 10 Oct 1903, Auburn, MA, aged 69 years 11 months 4 days, of creeping paralysis.^[2]

He is a carpenter; resided Auburn, MA.
