Dinah5 Whitney (Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), daughter of Benjamin4 and Sarah (Barrett) Whitney, was born 12 Jul 1727, Marlborough, MA,[1] and died 30 Sep 1759.[2]
Marriage intentions were published 2 Jan 1756, Boston, MA, for her and Dea. Elijah Livermore "of Waltham",[3] as his first wife. He was born 4 Mar 1730/1, Waltham, MA, and died 5 Aug 1808, Livermore, ME. He married secondly, 6 Apr 1762, Waltham, MA, Hannah Clark, daughter of Capt. John and Hannah (Cutting) Clark.
Pierce says the following:[4]
- DINAH [WHITNEY], b. July 12, 1727; m. Jan. 2, 1756, Elijah LIVERMORE, of Boston. She died Sept. 30, 1759, having one daughter, Abigail, who m. Rev. Elisha Scott WILLIAMS, gr. Yale 1773; 11 ch. Their daughter, Sarah Potter WILLIAMS, b. 1782, gave his first lesson in the spelling book to Dr. Henry BOND, the compiler of that remarkable work, the Genealogies and History of Watertown.
She was admitted to the Hollis Street Church, Boston, MA, 28 Nov 1742.[5]
