He married, 19 Dec 1852, Hampden, ME, Mary E. Sawyer, daughter of John H. and Mary (-----) Sawyer. She was born 16 Jan 1832, Hampden, ME, and died 1903.

Elisha and Mary are buried in the Lakeview Cemetery in Hampden, ME.
