Family:Whitney, Emory (1794-1863)
Emory7 Whitney (Ebenezer6, Zachariah5, Zachariah4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Ebenezer6 and Rachel Perne (Rawson) Whitney, was born 6 Oct 1794, Montague, MA,[1] and died 6 Jan 1863, South Gower, ON.
He married, about 1822, Rosanna Selleck, of Canada, daughter of Dayle [Deodata] and Mary (Boyd) Selleck. She was born Mar 1802, Edwardsburgh, ON, was baptized 11 Sep 1805, and died 1875.
He was a blacksmith by trade, but during the latter part of his life was a farmer at South Gower, ON. He resided Johnstown and South Gower, ON.

Almira Bixby. iii. Emory Whitney, b. 13 Dec 1827; unmarried; resided Otis Block, La Salle St., Chicago, IL. On 9 Oct 1888, he registered to vote in Cook Co., IL. He resided 142 S. LaSalle St., Ward 1, and had for 3 years, but had lived in Cook Co. for 20 years. He was born in Canada, and had been naturalized 6 Sep 1871 in the Criminal Court, Cook Co., IL. iv. Carolina Whitney, b. 6 Mar 1829; m. 1849, South Gower, Alexander Buchanan. He was b. 1 Apr 1820; d. 31 Jul 1889; was a farmer; P.O., of all Kemptville, ON. Children: a. Isabella, b. 20 Jun 1851; m.
