Family:Whitney, Ephraim (1740-1829)

Ephraim⁵ Whitney (Zachariah⁴, Ebenezer³, Richard², John¹), son of Zachariah⁴ and Ruth (Taylor) Whitney, was born 27 Apr 1740 at Pomfret, CT,^[1] and died 15 Aug 1829, aged 89 years 3 months 22 days.^[2] He is buried in Christ Church Cemetery, Sherburne, NY.

Ephraim married, 15 Apr 1763, Rhoda Taylor, daughter of Samuel and Miriam (Keet) Taylor. She was born 15 Dec 1735, Sunderland, MA, or 15 Dec 1736, Montague, MA, and died 26 Apr 1809, Sherburne, NY, aged 72 years 4 months 11 days. She is buried in Sherburne Quarter Cemetery, Sherburne, NY.

He lived in 1786 and 1787 at Winhall, VT.

v.	Anna Whitney, b. 21 Nov 1770, Montague, MA;[9] d. 26 Aug 1841, aged 70 years 9 months 5 days; m. circa 1790, Nathaniel Rose, son of Benjamin and Eunice (Brooks) Rose. She appeared on the census of 1791 at Windhall, VT; 1 male 16+, 1 female. She appeared on the census of 1810 at Sherburne, NY; 3 males under 10, 1 male 10-16, 2 males over 45, 1 female 10-16, 1 female 16-26, 2 females 26-45, 1 female over 45.
