Francis Bertrum⁹ Whitney (James P. Valentine⁸, Oliver Winship Francis⁷, Abigail⁶, Jonathan⁵, Jonathan⁴, Richard³, Richard², John¹), son of (James P. Valentine⁸ and Anginora (MacLeod) Whitney, was born 7 Sep 1875, Shelbyville, MO, and died 11 May 1962, Ft. Morgan, CO.^[1]

He married firstly 1900, Harlan Co., NE, Mollie Anna Reuter, daughter of Henry and Anna (-----) Reuter. She was born 26 Aug 1881, Alma, NE, and died 17 Mar 1910, Alma, NE.^[2]

He married secondly, Emma Viola (Baker) McGinnis as her second marriage. She was born Aug 1891, NE, and died 22 Nov 1947, Pueblo, CO.^[3] They had no children.
