George4 Whitney (Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jonathan3 and Susannah (Fairbanks) Whitney, was born 12 Aug 1721, Sherborn, MA,[1] and died 26 Sep 1752, Holliston, MA.[2]
George married, 6 or 21 Nov 1745, Holliston, MA, Sarah Couzens,[3] daughter of Isaac and Martha (Haven) Couzens. She was born 22 Nov 1723, Sherborn, MA, and died circa Feb 1756 "late of Holliston", MA.
On 6 Nov 1752, Holliston, MA, administration was granted to Sarah Whitney, widow, of Holliston, with Isaac Hill, yeoman, of Holliston, and James Haven, yeoman, of Framingham, sureties, on the estate of her late husband, George Whitney, late of Holliston, decd.
On 21 Nov 1752, Holliston, MA, his inventory was taken by Daniel Emerson, John Haven, and James Haven.
His (George Whitney's) children were mentioned in the will of his father (Jonathan Whitney) on 2 Feb 1753, Holliston, MA.
On 16 Feb 1756, Holliston, MA, Sarah Whitney, widow, late of Holliston, had her inventory taken by John Haven, James Haven, and John Mayhew.
On 19 Jan 1768, Holliston, MA, assignment of his estate was made to Isaac Whitney, he to pay his sisters Hannah Whitney and Mercy Whitney.
On 13 Jan 1769, Holliston, MA, the inventory of his real estate was taken by Joseph Twitchell, Isaac Hill, and Isaac Bullard; all estate was set to Isaac Whitney, only male heir, which was consented to by Isaac Whitney, James Haven (guardian of Marcy Whitney), and James Haven, Jr. (guardian of Hannah Whitney).

Hannah Whitney, b. 12 Apr 1748;[5] on 29 Apr 1754, Holliston, MA, Sarah Whitney, widow, was appointed guardian to Isaac, Hannah, and Mercy, under 14, children of George Whitney late of Holliston, and posted bond with Gershom Eames, yeoman, and Joseph Cousins, yeoman, both of Holliston, as sureties; on 16 Feb 1756, Holliston, MA, James Haven of Framingham, yeoman, was appointed guardian of Isaac, Hannah, and Mercy, under 14, children of George Whitney, late of Holliston, and posted bond, with Joseph Cozens, yeoman, and Isaac Hill, yeoman, both of Holliston, as sureties; on 13 May 1762, Holliston, MA, Hannah Whitney, aged 14, chose James Haven, Jr., as guardian; on 14 Jun 1762, Holliston, MA, James Haven, Jr., yeoman, of Framingham, was appointed guardian of Hannah Whitney, daughter of George Whitney of Holliston, and posted bond with John Wilson, yeoman, of Framingham, and Joseph Cozens of Holliston, husbandman, as sureties. She may be the Hannah Whitney who m. -- Nov 1800, Framingham, MA, Jesse Haven,[6] as his second wife, and d. 8 Jan 1842.
iii. Marcy Whitney, b. 22 Dec 1749;[7] on 29 Apr 1754, Holliston, MA, Sarah Whitney, widow, was appointed guardian to Isaac, Hannah, and Mercy, under 14, children of George Whitney late of Holliston, and posted bond with Gershom Eames, yeoman, and Joseph Cousins, yeoman, both of Holliston, as sureties; on 16 Feb 1756 at Holliston, MA, James Haven of Framingham, yeoman, was appointed guardian of Isaac, Hannah, and Mercy, under 14, children of George Whitney, late of Holliston, and posted bond, with Joseph Cozens, yeoman, and Isaac Hill, yeoman, both of Holliston, as sureties. iv. Sarah Whitney, b. 30 Nov 1752;[8] d. 14 Dec 1752, Holliston, MA.[9]
