Family:Whitney, George (1806-1876)

George7 Whitney (Peter6, Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Peter6 and Mary (Blair) Whitney, was born 20 May 1806, Chester, MA, and died 19 Feb 1876.[1]

He married, 17 Dec 1835, Chester, MA, Amanda M. Henry.[2] She was born 8 Apr 1809, and died 31 Mar 1897.[3]

Both parents and daughter were buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield, CT.

He was a manufacturer in Chester, MA, until 1846, when he moved to Hartford. Resided Hartford, CT.

i. Helen Eliza8 Whitney, b. 12 Oct 1836, Chester, MA;[4] d. 31 Oct 1837, Chester, MA, aged 1 year 18 days.[5][6]
